Business Analyst

Job Requirements

• Serve as the strategic bridge between wet-lab scientific research teams and enterprise IT to implement and optimize life sciences technologies.
• Lead cross-functional discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews across R&D, clinical, and quality teams to elicit detailed business requirements.
• Map end-to-end current-state and target-state workflows, identifying operational bottlenecks and opportunities for digital process optimization.
• Translate user feedback into structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Support vendor evaluation, selection, and rollout of core life sciences platforms, including the Veeva ecosystem, Benchling, and BIOVIA.
• Ensure all system designs, data workflows, and operating procedures align strictly with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP standards, and CAPA frameworks.
• Author test scenarios, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, and partner with QA/CSV teams to drive defect resolution prior to go-live.
• Develop steering committee presentations, decision matrices, RAID logs, and status dashboards for senior leadership and sponsor visibility.
• Author standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge-base guides, and targeted training assets to ensure seamless platform adoption across global teams.
• Partner with end-users to troubleshoot complex functional issues, translating recurring operational challenges into system enhancements.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related life sciences field, paired with 4+ years of BA or consulting experience in pharma, biotech, or laboratory informatics.
• Proven proficiency with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, SQL, Oracle, and enterprise document management systems.
