IT Quality Assurance Engineer
Starting Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000
The State Corporation Commissions (SCC) Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Engineer interested in a rewarding public service career to join our team. This role will perform automation testing and will help to ensure the quality and reliability of our web-based and infrastructure applications.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule (generally 2 days of telework, 3 days in office each week) as well as training and professional development opportunities.
Essential functions and responsibilities of the IT Quality Assurance Engineer position include:
- Perform day-to-day operational testing, which will include web-based application testing, system and integration testing, ad-hoc testing, and exploratory testing.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for web-based applications and infrastructure.
- Prepare the Requirement Traceability Matrix and perform gap analysis between the requirements and the test cases.
- Develop user acceptance tests with the appropriate test scenarios and level of detail for business users.
- Build the Test Automation Framework from scratch with C# and maintain the automation test suites.
- Perform functional testing, integration testing, regression testing and end to end testing.
- Identify and track defects/bugs.
- Communicate results from testing for the development team and business area to replicate.
- Schedule and facilitate user acceptance testing activities.
- Execute ad-hoc testing in accordance with industry standards and best practices in application design.
- Perform related work as required.
