Accountant/Tax Preparer

Job overview: Staff accountant for a small public accounting firm with opportunity for growth.

Hours:

• January thru April: Schedule to be determined – averaging 16-24 hours a week. Will include some Saturdays.
• May-December: Flexible hours ranging from 12-18 hours a week, depending on project availability.

Details of position to include:

• · Year-end analysis of various company books for adjusting entries
• · Workpaper preparation
• · Drafting of business tax returns.
• · Quarterly payroll tax returns
• - Monthly/quarterly accounting for clients
• · Drafting of personal income tax returns

Requirements:

• Bachelor or associates degree in accounting required.
• 3 years accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
• 2 years tax preparation required.
• 2 years experience QuickBooks Online required
• Experience with Word and Excel, & QuickBooks required.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
