Role Overview:
This position involves planning and executing occupational therapy treatment programs for patients across all ages, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
- Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and modify interventions based on evaluations. Document progress accurately and assist with discharge planning, recommending adaptive equipment as needed. Promote evidence-based practices and participate in professional activities like journal clubs and workshops.
- Team Collaboration & Communication: Establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals; effectively communicate across diverse audiences; and foster a cooperative work environment.
- Professional Development & Mentorship: Self-assess and seek ongoing learning opportunities; mentor staff and students; and contribute to departmental growth.
- Quality & Safety: Follow department policies, safety, and infection control protocols; support departmental quality improvement and resource management.
- Additional Duties: Participate in interdisciplinary discharge processes, provide feedback, and embrace change positively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, plus a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
