Marketing Technical Product Owner
We’re seeking a dynamic Distribution Technical Product Owner to lead the evolution of our global marketing and distribution technology products. Working within a modern product engineering model, you will own product roadmaps, backlogs and prioritization, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, data and business teams to deliver scalable, secure and data-driven solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role responsible for managing product roadmaps and backlogs, defining and prioritizing requirements, translating business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, secure and customer-focused solutions.
The role requires balancing customer needs, business priorities and technical sustainability while working closely with engineering teams to drive continuous product improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead Product Roadmaps: Own the technical product ownership for marketing and distribution coverage including marketing ecosystem products, primarily serving North America with broader global coverage considerations.
- Delivery and Execution: Act as the primary product representative for Agile product engineering teams. Own backlog prioritization and refinement, define requirements and acceptance criteria, and work closely with engineering teams to maximize value delivery. Champion continuous delivery, iterative development and outcome-based planning practices.
- Technical Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, and platform teams to define technical solutions that support product objectives. Understand system architecture, API integrations, cloud infrastructure, security requirements, and data models. Evaluate technical trade-offs and support decisions regarding scalability, reliability, and performance. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Own the prioritization of technical enablers, platform modernization initiatives and technical debt remediation alongside business-driven feature development.
- Strategic Influence: Use technology, data and customer insights to drive strategic decisions around marketing enablement, distribution optimization and client service innovation. Define measurable success metrics and use performance data to continuously evaluate product effectiveness and business value.
- Provide Thought Leadership: Influence the technical refinement of features, processes, and best practices to ensure the optimal performance and availability of technologies. Ensure improvements align with existing engineering principles and align with the roadmap. Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation and advanced analytics capabilities, identifying opportunities to enhance client engagement, operational efficiency and marketing effectiveness.
- AI, Data and Automation: Partner with data, engineering and business teams to define data-driven capabilities, customer intelligence solutions, personalization and automation opportunities. Identify and prioritize AI-enabled use cases that improve customer experience, business efficiency and mark eting performance. Ensure product decisions align with data governance, security, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Continuously develop specialized knowledge and technical subject matter expertise by remaining apprised of industry trends, the direction of emerging technologies, and their potential value to the business. Effectively present the value proposition of business-appropriate emerging technologies to technology leadership.
To be successful in this role you will have...
- Marketing SaaS & Ecosystem Knowledge: Hands-on experience (5-10 years) managing and evolving enterprise marketing technology products and platforms, with a deep understanding of how marketing, CRM, personalization and digital experience, content and data platforms work together to create measurable business outcomes.
- Asset Management Expertise: Experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Financial Services or similarly regulated industries. Asset Management experience strongly preferred.
- Agile Acumen: Strong experience operating within Agile product engineering environments, including quarterly planning, backlog management, product discovery, prioritization frameworks and incremental value delivery.
Preferred Qualifications…
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or equivalent experience.
- Experience with:
o SaaS applications and B2B software solutions.
o Operating within a product engineering or product operating model.
o Defining product success metrics and using analytics to drive prioritisation and product decisions.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing technologies, DevOps, personalisation platforms and marketing automation solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, microservices, and data platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and platform operations.
- Background in CRM, ERP, marketing technology, AI/ML, or data-driven products.
