Duties

Assess patients’ physical conditions by conducting comprehensive evaluations of mobility, strength, and functional abilities

  • Develop and implement tailored care plans that align with patients’ goals and medical needs

Perform therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics techniques, and geriatrics-focused exercises to promote recovery

Manage discharge planning processes to ensure seamless transition from hospital or clinic to home or community settings

Document patient progress accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and communicate updates with healthcare teams

Provide specialized care for pediatric, geriatric, inpatient, outpatient, and home health populations

Educate patients and caregivers on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and health maintenance practices

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the relevant jurisdiction

Proven experience in acute care, hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or home & community care settings

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedic principles

Demonstrated ability to develop effective care plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics

  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment and education
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
