Staff Accountant

We are recruiting a Staff Accountant for a growing company to support month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. In this role, you will handle journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support while working with teams across the business. This role is well suited for someone from public or corporate accounting looking to broaden their experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review general ledger activity and research discrepancies to maintain accurate account balances.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and assist with analysis of monthly results.
• Support balance sheet and income statement analysis, including investigation of unusual activity.
• Assist with audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Apply US GAAP principles to routine accounting transactions and research accounting questions as needed.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and provide requested financial information.
• Assist with accounts payable activities, year-end reporting, and other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience; public accounting or corporate accounting experience considered.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and work accurately with detailed information.
