About this role

US Farathane is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization.

This highly visible leadership role goes beyond reporting the numbers. You will help shape business decisions, strengthen plant-level financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve margins and cash flow. Working closely with executive, manufacturing, finance, and commercial leaders, you will translate complex financial information into clear, actionable business strategies.

The Director of FP&A will also lead plant financial staff and provide oversight for plant-level controlling and accounting activities, including cost accounting, general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, bill-of-materials analysis, and margin analysis.

What You'll Do – Key Responsibilities:* Lead the preparation of monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

  • Review monthly financial results and drive actions that improve margins and cash flow.
  • Assess the accuracy of financial results and prepare performance reporting for the executive team in partnership with the Corporate Controller.
  • Analyze plant performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical trends.
  • Lead and support financial staff across the organization’s manufacturing plants.
  • Review operational capital expenditure recommendations using projected return-on-investment calculations.
  • Evaluate financial and operational risks and develop plans to mitigate exposure.
  • Analyze labor costs, material costs, manufacturing overhead, bills of materials, and inventory levels.
  • Partner with manufacturing, finance, and commercial leaders to identify issues and drive timely resolutions.
  • Identify process-improvement opportunities and internal-control weaknesses, then lead corrective actions.
  • Analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory each month.
  • Review and update standard overhead rates and labor costs as needed.
  • Evaluate internal controls to help safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and other strategic business initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Three or more years of financial planning experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP.
  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation and the transactional implications of material management.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage a global team.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated, hands-on approach to new challenges.
  • The ability to manage projects from initial planning through completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What Success Looks Like

This position offers the opportunity to influence financial and operational performance throughout a manufacturing organization. You will work directly with senior leadership and plant-level teams, guide critical planning and investment decisions, and turn financial analysis into measurable business action.

If you are an FP&A leader who enjoys connecting financial strategy with operational execution, we encourage you to apply.
