• Staffing Model:

+ Physician: 8–9 hour shifts, mostly double coverage at all times, dedicated Nocturnist, 52 Physician hour coverage on average over 24 hour period

+ APP: 8-10 hour shifts

• EMR: Epic with Dragon
• EM Residents that rotate from VCU
• Vertical Fast Track with 2 rooms and internal waiting area
• Three CT machines in ED
• Plain Film Suite in ED
• Three in-house Interventional Cath Labs
• Receiving hospital for STEMI patients
• Opened a Freestanding ED in December 2025 that feeds into our ED/Hospitalist services
