About this role

An established pediatric private practice is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team.

Our practice is dedicated to creating a warm, inviting, and compassionate environment for children, parents, and caregivers. We strive to provide individualized, comprehensive, and thoughtful medical care to children from birth through adolescence.

We place a strong emphasis on parental guidance, education, and support, helping families feel confident in caring for their children. We pride ourselves on developing lasting relationships with our patients and their families and consider it a privilege to partner with parents in fostering their children's health and well-being.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, organized, and computer-literate RN who enjoys working with children and families. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy pediatric office.

Previous pediatric or outpatient experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer routine childhood immunizations and prescribed medications.
  • Perform telephone triage, assess patient concerns, provide appropriate nursing guidance, and determine when physician evaluation is needed.

  • Perform phlebotomy, including venipuncture and capillary blood collection in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform rapid diagnostic testing, including strep, influenza, and other point-of-care tests.
  • Provide patient and parent education regarding childhood illnesses, medications, immunizations, preventive care, and anticipatory guidance.
  • Review laboratory results, recognize abnormal findings, communicate with physicians, and notify families of results and recommended follow-up in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Coordinate prescription refill requests and transmit prescriptions authorized by a licensed prescriber.
  • Assist with school, camp, and other routine medical forms.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming clinical environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and other team members.
  • A compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor with children and families.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting.
