Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist who is comfortable providing therapy services in both home and clinic settings. This role involves delivering individualized, high-quality care to pediatric clients while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions using appropriate, evidence-based techniques
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across all areas of occupation using appropriate clinical tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and care teams
- Establish measurable, patient-centered goals and track progress through data collection
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation, including:
- Evaluations and re-evaluations
- Progress reports
- Discharge summaries
- Daily treatment notes
- Deliver ongoing therapy services, including caregiver education and home programs
- Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community stakeholders
- Maintain productivity and documentation standards
- Support program development and participate in internal learning opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and certification requirements
- Adhere to safety, ethical, privacy, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Current California license from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
- Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience preferred
- Comfortable working in home, school, clinic, and community-based settings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively educate patients and caregivers
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor
- Successful completion of background check and all required clearances
