Full Stack Developer – TS/SCI – Hybrid

• Location: Suitland, Maryland
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week
• Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to build and support secure, cloud-native applications in a U. S. government environment.

This position requires strong hands-on experience across both Python backend development and production frontend development using React, Next. js, or an equivalent modern framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop secure cloud-native applications from database schema through backend services and production user interfaces.
• Build and maintain Python-based backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Develop production frontend applications using React, Next.js, or equivalent technologies.
• Support existing platforms while developing pilot solutions and custom MVPs.
• Support dashboards, legacy data migration, authentication integration, and application modernization.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL/Aurora databases.
• Deploy and troubleshoot applications across AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure modules.
• Support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
• Integrate secure authentication and authorization systems.
• Work within secure, STIG-hardened and FIPS-validated environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Django and/or FastAPI.
• Experience with modern Python and asynchronous development.
• Production frontend experience with React, Next.js, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience developing complete full-stack applications.
• RESTful API development and Backend-for-Frontend patterns.
• Pydantic-based validation.
• PostgreSQL database design, migrations, query optimization, and data loading.
• AWS application deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC, and KMS.
• Terraform module development and maintenance.
• Authentication integration using Keycloak, OIDC, SAML, CAC/PIV, or similar technologies.
• Secure token handling.
• GitLab CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Experience working in secure or compliance-focused environments.

Additional Experience:

• Classified AWS environments or AWS partitions.
• DevSecOps. STIG/FIPS environments.
• AI-assisted software development tools.
• Government or defense-related application development.

This is not a backend-only position. Candidates must have demonstrated production frontend development experience with React, Next. js, or an equivalent modern framework.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to work onsite in Suitland, Maryland 2–3 days per week.

Pay: $150,000. 00 - $170,000. 00 per year
