Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

We provide design assistance, engineering, manufacturing, and installation of architectural glass and architectural metal systems to the commercial construction community. We are seeking an estimator / inside salesperson to prepare accurate estimates for potential projects.

This role combines 85% estimating/procurement and 15% inside sales efforts with responsibility for estimate scheduling, quantity take-offs, material pricing, communication and coordination, to amass an accurate estimate of project.

General Responsibly

Review requests for quotation (RFQ’s) from General Contractors and Construction Managers, and gauge need of all of our products.

Scout for opportunities where our products are or could be needed on projects in planning

with architects or contractors.

Estimating Responsibilities

• Read bid documents and develop outline of scope required for project estimate.
• Review scope with sales manager to confirm scope.
• Attend pre-bid meetings online and in person, when requested by sales manager Create priority list of take-offs for components that need to go out of house for pricing.
• Complete take-offs for out-of-house components and send material suppliers for pricing.
• Collect out of house material pricing and review for accuracy.
• Look for and note unusual details, conditions in documents for review by sales manager.
• Provide material pricing to sales manager for incorporation into estimating system.
• Take-off scope items we manufacture for incorporation into estimating system by sales manager.
• Participate in post-bid-scope interviews with sales managers and customers.
• High attention to detail Comfortable with estimating and procurement of construction related materials as well as various other metal structural materials.
• Experience: 2-year construction management degree, engineering or accounting background or similar experience.
• Blue Beam Revu estimating software and/or Cad experience is a plus.

Compensation

Pay based on experience: $55,000–$65,000 depending on experience, with bonus potential.
