  • Support month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal and external audit requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Accounting Operations team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development.
  • Manage departmental workload, staffing, training, and priorities to ensure operational efficiency and timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor accounting matters, transaction discrepancies, and unresolved operational issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Identify recurring operational challenges, evaluate root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP enhancements to strengthen operational efficiency and financial controls.
  • Establish and monitor departmental performance metrics, including transaction accuracy, processing timeliness, exception resolution, and outstanding reconciliations.
  • Prepare and communicate operational reports highlighting performance trends, unresolved issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support business acquisitions, system integrations, and other organizational initiatives impacting accounting operations.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
