The Sign Designer will be tasked with a wide variety of signage and graphics projects that can include, but are not limited to, interior, code, EGD, wayfinding, parking, and exterior signage. These projects vary in size and clientele; you would develop sign packages from supplied Design Intents, re-order system standards, as well as having the opportunity to develop new concepts with your team.
The position requires workstyle flexibility in terms of an independent and collaborative approach to completing projects on time and understanding the importance of deadlines. This role will be expected to contribute not only through their design skills but also through effective project management and collaboration, making a significant impact on the successful execution of sign projects within the company.

Basic Responsibilities:
- Create shop drawings and layouts for signage and EGD projects.
- Effective use of typography, color, shapes, space, and knowledge of ADA code compliancy to develop successful concept designs and sign layouts.
- Programming sign location plans and message schedules utilizing wayfinding software.
- Successfully utilize design templates and CADTools in Adobe Illustrator.
- Collaborate effectively with creative team members and other project stakeholders to produce presentation drawings that are organized and well thought out. Must consider available materials, sizes, and fabrication details.
- Create accurate production ready designs and full-size production files according to our production team standards.
- Maintain a high attention to detail, while juggling multiple projects and working under tight timelines.
- Be a proactive communicator with all involved parties on a project, such as immediate team, project managers, sales staff, and any parties that may be involved in project.
- Respect all due dates and deadlines. Communicate directly with project team to ensure project delivers on time.
- Archive and save all projects according to department standard and ensure most up-to-date files are available to other team members at any given time.
- Be reliable and punctual.

Skills Needed:
- 2-5 years of experience in design, signage, or related field
- Knowledge of graphic design practices and procedures
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient Mac/PC skills
- Ability to work in scale, general math skills
- Ability to commute to Bellevue, WA
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet a plus
- Ability to read architectural drawings also a plus
Physical Demands: The duties of this position require the employee to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, as well as the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The duties of this position also require the employee to frequently communicate with employees and clients, and the employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

- Pay range: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
