Brand Designer
We're a consumer products company that owns and manages a portfolio of nationally recognized brands, and we're aiming to reach $500 million in revenue this year. Our products cover e-mobility, consumer electronics, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden, cleaning and more, with global operations.
We're looking for a Brand Designer who can take an idea from first concept all the way to print-ready packaging. You know packaging inside and out! Visual concepts, layout systems, dielines, SKU variations and final production files.
You create distinctive designs, and you're just as strong at the detail work that gets them printed correctly across hundreds of products.
You'll design packaging, retail displays and print collateral across our brands, including Snow Joe®, Sun Joe®, Aqua Joe®, Auto Joe® and Jetson. That means developing new visual directions for product launches and new brands, using AI tools to explore and visualize ideas, and turning approved concepts into production-ready files that keep the design intact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design packaging, retail display graphics and supporting collateral across multiple product lines and brands.
- Develop distinctive visual concepts for new brands, product launches and packaging systems, using AI throughout the creative process.
- Use AI image-generation and visualization tools to explore concepts, develop creative directions and visualize final packaging and retail executions before production.
- Turn approved concepts into structured, production-ready packaging and display layouts while protecting the original design direction.
- Create and update product labels, inserts, POP displays, display headers, promotional graphics and other print collateral.
- Manage packaging revisions, versioning, SKU variations and rolling product updates across brands and categories, including Tool Only and Kit packaging.
- Prepare final print-production files with correct dielines, bleeds, color, image resolution, typography and production specs.
- Make sure packaging includes all required regulatory, safety and retailer elements, such as certification marks, battery warnings, Prop 65 labels and barcodes.
- Work with print vendors and overseas factories on proofs and press checks so finished packaging matches the approved design.
- Keep working files, linked assets and production artwork organized to support fast revisions and future product-line extensions.
- Work closely with Creative, Product Development, Marketing, Merchandising and Digital teams so packaging and retail executions match our brand and e-commerce plans.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in brand, packaging or consumer products design.
- A strong portfolio showing both original concept work and production-ready packaging.
- Strong visual design and production skills, including layout, typography and composition.
- Hands-on experience preparing packaging files for print, including dielines, color management and prepress.
- Experience managing many SKUs and packaging variations at once.
- Experience designing to multiple brand guidelines.
- Experience with retail packaging for major U.S. retailers is a plus.
Tools & Skills:
- Adobe Creative Suite, with strong InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- AI tools (Huge +)
- Strong understanding of packaging layout systems and print production.
