### **Your Role as a Per Diem OT**

As an Occupational Therapist with TRU Healthcare, you'll help patients regain the skills, confidence, and independence they need to safely navigate everyday life in their own homes.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes based on individualized treatment plans.
• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop treatment strategies focused on improving independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Address functional limitations related to strength, coordination, balance, cognition, mobility, and other areas affecting daily life.
• Recommend and educate patients on adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and techniques to improve safety and independence.
• Assess home environments and provide recommendations for fall prevention, accessibility, and safe performance of daily activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and techniques to support continued progress between visits.
• Monitor patient progress, update treatment approaches as needed, and communicate changes with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

### **What You'll Bring**

• Current, valid **Minnesota Occupational Therapist license**.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous home health experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ability to travel within **Duluth and surrounding areas.**
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between patient visits. **Mileage reimbursement provided.**
• A genuine desire to help patients live more safely and independently.

### **Compensation \& Flexibility**

**This is a per\-diem, per\-visit position. **

You choose how much or how little you want to work based on your availability and the needs of our patients.
