About this role

ABOUT TRIMLIGHT

Founded in 2010, Trimlight is the original inventor of permanent, programmable, color-changing LED lighting. With a patented channel system, the Trimlight Edge app, and a lifetime product warranty, we’ve grown to over 350 authorized dealer locations across the U.S. and Canada. Our mission is simple: light up the world — one home, one business, one dealer at a time.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Dealer Growth Marketing Strategist owns the top of Trimlight’s dealer-growth funnel: attracting, qualifying, and nurturing the entrepreneurs and trade professionals who become our next authorized dealers. This role builds the campaigns, content, and HubSpot systems that turn open territories into signed dealers — from ideal-dealer research and multi-channel outreach to nurture tracks and conversion reporting.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing and the Dealer Success team, this is a hands-on builder role for someone who can write, run campaigns, read a funnel, and move the number in a lean, fast-moving marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dealer Acquisition Strategy & Pipeline

  • Own the prospective-dealer marketing funnel end to end — awareness, inquiry, qualification, and handoff — with clear monthly volume and quality targets by territory.
  • Maintain a prioritized territory gap map with Dealer Success leadership; focus campaign effort on critical and major gap markets.
  • Build and continually refine Trimlight’s ideal dealer profile using top-performer surveys, interviews, and CRM data; translate it into targeting, messaging, and qualification criteria.
  • Define the marketing-to-recruitment handoff — lead scoring, routing, response SLAs, and follow-up cadence — so no qualified prospect goes cold.

Multi-Channel Campaigns & Outreach

  • Plan and run always-on recruitment campaigns across LinkedIn (organic, paid, and job postings), paid search and social, cold email sequences, direct mail, and industry channels.
  • Target adjacent trades — lighting, holiday and temporary lighting, landscape lighting, electrical, and exterior home services — along with entrepreneurially minded operators seeking a proven business.
  • Write and test short-copy outreach built on intrigue, dealer success stories, and margins; manage sequences and follow-up in HubSpot.
  • Represent Trimlight at trade shows, business-opportunity events, and partner events as needed.

Content, Messaging & Dealer Value Proposition

  • Own the become-a-dealer web experience: landing pages, forms, invite-only tracked links, FAQ, and ongoing conversion optimization.
  • Produce the recruitment toolkit — pitch deck, one-pagers, dealer success stories and video testimonials, territory and economics overviews, and webinar or info-session content.
  • Articulate a consistent dealer value proposition: one dedicated dealer per territory, a patented product with a lifetime warranty, and HQ marketing and operational support.
  • Keep positioning sharply differentiated from stick-on and big-box lights, temporary holiday lighting, and puck- or bulb-style systems — always within Trimlight brand standards.

Nurture, CRM & Marketing Automation (HubSpot)

  • Build and maintain the prospective-dealer lifecycle in HubSpot: lead capture, scoring, segmented nurture tracks, re-engagement, and pipeline-stage visibility.
  • Own attribution so every inquiry and signed dealer traces back to its source, campaign, and territory.
  • Keep recruitment data clean, complete, and reportable; coordinate with marketing operations on properties, workflows, and dashboards.

Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Own the dealer-recruitment dashboard: inquiries, qualified leads, discovery calls, signed dealers, cost per qualified lead, cost per signed dealer, and time to sign — by channel and territory.
  • Run structured tests on audience, offer, creative, and channel; recommend where recruitment spend should shift based on what converts.
  • Report results monthly to the Director of Marketing and Dealer Success leadership; present quarterly recruitment plans with clear recommendations.
  • Monitor competing dealer and franchise opportunities and adjust positioning and offers accordingly.

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Qualified dealer inquiries per month and quarter — volume and territory fit.
  • New dealers signed (marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced) against annual territory growth goals.
  • Coverage of critical and major gap territories.
  • Cost per qualified lead and cost per signed dealer by channel.
  • Inquiry-to-discovery-call and discovery-call-to-signed conversion rates.
  • Become-a-dealer page conversion rate and nurture engagement.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or franchise/dealer development marketing; channel or franchise recruitment experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on HubSpot (or equivalent) experience — sequences, workflows, lead scoring, and attribution reporting.
  • Proven LinkedIn and paid social/search campaign management, with strong conversion-focused copywriting.
  • Comfortable with data: builds dashboards, reads funnels, and backs recommendations with the numbers.
  • Understands small-business owners and the trades; can speak credibly to margins, startup costs, and territory economics.
  • Self-directed builder who thrives in a lean, fast-moving team; willing to travel occasionally for events

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Works with: Dealer Success team, marketing operations

Type: Full-time, individual contributor

Location: In-office at Trimlight HQ Monday - Thursday, work from home on Friday

Compensation: Base salary plus bonus tied to the success metrics above, competitive benefits, 401k

Send us your resume and one thing you've built that moved a number: a campaign, a nurture track, a landing page, a dashboard. Tell us what it was, what you changed, and what happened. That's the whole application.

We'll take it from there.
