Role Overview

Principal C++ Software Engineer with computer vision and computer graphics experience who can translate research algorithms from Python/MATLAB into commercial medical device software running on Linux-based systems. Supporting Glaukos' next-generation ophthalmic capital equipment platform. Glaukos' corneal therapy system is used to treat keratoconus through controlled UV light delivery to the cornea.

Key Technical Requirements – Must-Have Skills

• Strong C++ development experience (primary requirement).
• Experience developing software in Linux environments, with some exposure to Windows-based C++ development.
• Regulated industry experience (medical device #1, defense, automotive).
• Experience developing software that communicates with systems or devices.
• Ability to implement and optimize algorithms for commercial products.
• Familiarity with computer graphics, geometric transformations, and image processing.
• Experience using or working alongside OpenCV.
• Python and/or MATLAB understanding.
• C# experience, although this is not a primary screening criterion.
