Staff Accountant (Public Accounting)

We are hiring an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing company.

The Staff Accountant will spend their time performing accounting services for small business clients from a wide range if industries. The SA will work independently but as part of a team under the guidance of our Director of Accounting. The SA each week may work with 3 to 10 different accounts and must be able to manage time appropriately to serve all assigned clients while meeting deadlines.

Prior tax preperation or tax resolution experience is a big plus but not required.

What You Would Do

• Perform accounting tasks such as reconciliations, JEs, preparation of financial statements, etc.
• Follow SOPs and GAAP accounting standards as directed from leadership
• Maintain a tight calendar of accounting activities
• Meet all deadlines for client financials
• Troubleshoot accounting problems
• Provide excellent customer service to our small business clients

What You Need to Bring

• 7+ years of Accounting Experience Required
• 5+ years of Public Accounting Experience Required
• Bachelors in Accounting Required
• Must have strong organizational, communication and time management skills
• Must have strong MS Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Extensive experience in Quickbooks Online is Required
• Some experience in Restaurant 365 is Preferred
• Some experience using Claude or ChatGPT business is Preferred
• Fluency in Spanish is Preferred
