SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Description The Senior Accountant works with the Controller to handle general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.

This person will report directly to the Controller and work hand in hand with the other members of the Accounting Team and must be able to work amicably with a variety of personalities while maintaining professionalism while applying a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• And Duties Perform various reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliation and investigating discrepancies.
• Maintains and sets vendors.
• Processes internal company invoicing.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Account Payable functions.
• Participate in various month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Assists with the reviewing of weekly payroll.
• Processes daily receipts.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• And Experience Minim 5 years' experience in contracting business or accounting.
• 3+ years of senior level accounting experience.
• Full knowledge of GAAP.
• Job Skills Detail oriented.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
• Education Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Special Requirements Valid Driver's License
