Position Overview

Total Trailers / MO Great Dane is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person in Accounting & Finance to join our growing company at our headquarters in Benton, MO.

We operate commercial trailer dealerships providing trailer sales, financing, leasing, parts, and service.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in accounting, finance, banking, or financial operations who enjoys learning different aspects of a business.

Responsibilities will span accounting, financial reporting, payroll, sales tax, title administration, and potentially customer financing and credit analysis.

We are looking for a versatile individual interested in developing a broad understanding of our business and growing into additional responsibilities over time.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Assist the Controller with monthly financial closing procedures.
• Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, schedules, and financial reporting.

Payroll & Administrative Accounting

• Cross-train on employee payroll processing and payroll reporting.
• Work with the HR and administrative departments to improve financial workflows.

Trailer Title & Registration

• Learn the company's trailer titling and registration processes.
• Assist with title documentation, lien releases, and related paperwork.

Finance, Leasing & Credit Analysis — Growth Opportunities

• Assist with customer financing documentation and lender coordination.
• Take on additional financing and credit analysis responsibilities as experience develops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3–7+ years of experience in accounting, banking, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with monthly financial closing or general ledger accounting.
• Experience in commercial banking, lending, or credit analysis.
• Experience with payroll, sales tax, or accounting systems.
• Experience in equipment dealerships, transportation, or commercial financing.
• CPA designation.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
