Role Description

The Showroom Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenixville, PA. This role involves greeting and guiding customers through the showroom, understanding their project needs, and presenting appropriate tile and marble options.

The Showroom Designer will create design concepts, assist with layout and color coordination, prepare basic drawings or mood boards, and provide product recommendations aligned with budget and timelines. Daily responsibilities include maintaining attractive product displays, updating samples and signage, coordinating with sales and operations teams on orders, and ensuring accurate documentation of customer selections.

The role also includes answering design-related questions, staying current on product lines and trends, and supporting a professional, welcoming showroom environment. This role offers benefits and sales commission in addition to a fixed hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in interior or showroom design, including space planning, color coordination, and material selection.
• Ability to provide customer-focused guidance, with strong listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Competence in basic design tools (e.g., sketching, layout software, or CAD at a fundamental level) and comfort working with product catalogs and samples.
• Ability to read blueprints and assess ordering requirements for a commercial and residential projects.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple customer projects, maintain orderly displays, and handle accurate documentation of selections and orders.
• Attention to detail in visual presentation, measurements, and product specifications, with a commitment to quality and safety in the showroom.
• Previous experience in tile, flooring, kitchen/bath design, or a related design or retail environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move materials in the showroom as needed, and work on-site during standard business hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
