Position Overview JOB DESCRIPTION The Product Manager is responsible for product marketing of Love & Celebration (L&C) category, building and executing the vision and strategy set with the Director. This involves creating product roadmaps aligned with brand strategy, annual calendar, business objectives, and regional insights, and managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
This role leverages a deep understanding of the diamond and bridal category, non-linear pricing dynamics, and Individually Registered (IR) diamonds to drive portfolio desirability and commercial performance. Mentors Specialist in coordinating product development and defining product positioning for 360 activation and collaboration.
Location
This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days in-office at our New York, NY location and 1 day remote.
Key Accountabilities
Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap Evolution
- Executes & refines multi-year product roadmaps for the L&C category aligned with brand strategy and annual calendar, based on direction from the Director.
- Conducts market and competitive analysis within the diamond and bridal category, tracking industry trends and client behavior.
- Identifies market opportunities within the bridal category and translates them into actionable product strategies, balancing core icons, innovation, and commercial performance.
- Defines the target customer and develops compelling naming, product positioning, and emotional storytelling tailored to the luxury diamond client journey.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Sales Merchandising, Marketing, Demand Planning, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and successful execution of product plans.
- Develops financial forecasts for the assigned product collection that align with company objectives, working alongside Sales Merchandising and demand planning.
Pricing Strategy & Diamond Valuation
- Leads pricing strategies for the bridal category, ensuring internal mapping coherence and external competitiveness.
- Oversees pricing strategy with category-specific dynamics, integrating expertise in Individually Registered (IR) diamonds.
- Validates pricing based on sales volume and margin drivers within the bridal collection.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Manages the day-to-day product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond, ensuring product sustainability (within the bounds provided by the Director).
- Oversees all stages of product development: ideation, prototyping, design, demand planning, sourcing, production, packaging, and launch; ensures quality and cost-effectiveness are considered at all stages.
- Manages key project milestones and builds comprehensive design briefs with clear product specifications, target costs, and market requirements.
- Manages the collection’s product portfolio (active / T/E Flags) and monitors product performance.
- Analyzes sales data, consumer feedback, and industry best practices to provide recommendations on product assortment and lifecycle, working with Sales Merchandising and regional teams to identify opportunities for localized assortments.
360 Activation & Collaboration
- In charge of defining the 360 brief for all new product launches in the L&C category, inclusive of training content, selling rituals, and sales targets, in collaboration with Sales Merchandising.
- Owns Product 360 Activation & Collaboration — defining product positioning and overseeing local execution of global plans with Sales Merchandising.
- Oversees the creation of compelling product names, emotional storytelling, and content that resonates with bridal target audiences and highlights diamond expertise.
- Collaborates with Communications Marketing team, PR, and Omni teams to generate excitement and buzz around new bridal product launches.
- Oversees local execution of global plans with Sales & Communications Marketing teams, providing support and training to regions for newness and client experience.
Leadership and Team Management
- Mentors Specialist responsible for coordinating product development, diamond category support, and managing the product portfolio on a day-to-day basis.
- Provides guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster their professional growth and development.
- Promotes a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7/8+ years of experience in Product & Marketing with specialized expertise in the diaond and bridal category and building 360 activations.
- Deep understanding of the bridal category, client journey, emotional drivers of purchase, and selling rituals.
- Strong familiarity with IR (Individually Registered) diamonds, diamond valuation fundamentals, and jewelry design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear messaging.
- Demonstrated curiosity, entrepreneurial flair, and sensitivity to the luxury client experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA.
- Experience within the luxury goods or jewelry industry.
- Experience with PLM tools.
The hiring range for this position ranges from $122,485 - $144,100. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
