Job description

About this role

Fancy Peasant embodies the rich culture and flavors of Greece, while promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

www.fancypeasant.com

Fancy Peasant is now hiring for an experienced, hands-on consumer packaged goods (CPG) operations professional to take full

ownership of the physical and analytical operations of the business. This is not an administrative support role. We need

a specialized operator who can independently execute inventory planning, supply chain management, logistics, and

fulfillment.

What this person must own

  • Inventory planning and forecasting: Analyze sales velocity, historical demand, seasonality, lead times, and projected

sales to determine reorder quantities and timing.

  • Inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory across Shopify, wholesale, Amazon, and the warehouse; monitor

discrepancies, stockouts, excess inventory, and stock transfers.

  • Warehouse and 3PL management: Serve as the day-to-day warehouse contact; coordinate receiving, fulfillment,

inventory movements, warehouse issues, and shipping performance.

  • Freight and logistics: Directly manage freight brokers, customs brokers, trucking companies, pickups, delivery

appointments, international imports, and domestic transport.

  • Production and purchasing: Own supplier purchase orders, manufacturing schedules, production timelines, MOQs, lead

times, and replenishment.

  • Financial and operational analysis: Build spreadsheets and forecasts; analyze landed costs, product margins, freight,

fulfillment expenses, and inventory investments.

  • Amazon FBA operations: Coordinate inventory forecasts, FBA shipments, prep and labeling requirements, replenishment,

and warehouse execution with the Amazon agency.

  • Wholesale and retail operations: Manage operational allocation, fulfillment, and reconciliation for wholesale orders and

channels such as Faire and Airgoods.

  • Systems and reporting: Maintain accurate SKU records, operational dashboards, inventory systems, and reporting.
  • Independent problem-solving: Identify issues early, propose solutions, and execute without constant direction.

Required experience

  • Hands-on CPG operations experience, preferably food and beverage.
  • Strong inventory forecasting, demand planning, and purchasing expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a third-party logistics provider (3PL).
  • Experience with international freight, customs, and import logistics.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, including inventory and cost models.
  • Experience with Shopify; Amazon FBA familiarity strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of landed costs, product margins, and inventory cash flow.

Additional Duties

  • Ability to independently manage producers, warehouses, freight partners, and deadlines.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, fast-moving business.

What success looks like

This person should be able to tell leadership what inventory to order, how much it will cost, when it will arrive, how it will

reach the warehouse, and whether available stock can support every sales channel - then manage execution through completion.
