About this role

Love working with children? Looking for a pediatric therapy position that fits your life?

Join Therapy Kinections, an established pediatric therapy clinic in Southbury, CT, where we help children develop the skills and confidence to participate more fully in everyday life.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This part-time opportunity offers flexible afternoon hours, professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

Whether you're currently working in a school, a clinic, or another setting—or looking for a flexible part-time role—we'd love to hear from you.

About Therapy Kinections

With over 23 years of experience, Therapy Kinections is proud to provide family-centered pediatric therapy in a welcoming, collaborative environment.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they have the time, support, and resources to focus on each child's individual needs. Our approach emphasizes meaningful progress, individualized treatment, and strong partnerships with families.

Why Join Therapy Kinections?

  • Competitive Compensation: $29–$45 per hour, based on credentials, experience, and qualifications.
  • Flexible Afternoon Hours: Part-time clinic hours that can complement an existing position or fit another schedule.
  • Consistent Weekly Scheduling: The opportunity to build a predictable schedule and caseload.
  • Mentorship & Professional Development: Opportunities to learn from experienced clinicians and continue growing professionally.
  • Dedicated Documentation Time: Time built into your schedule for completing clinical documentation.
  • Supportive Clinical Team: Work alongside therapists who value collaboration, communication, and quality care.
  • Well-Equipped Pediatric Clinic: Access to therapy tools and resources for engaging, individualized treatment.
  • Quality Over Quantity: We believe therapists should have the time and support to focus on each child's individual needs.

A Great Opportunity for OTs and COTAs

This position may be a good fit if you're looking to supplement your current work, gain experience in a pediatric outpatient setting, or find a part-time role with greater scheduling flexibility.

School-based therapists interested in afternoon clinic hours are welcome, as are clinicians currently working in other settings and those seeking a part-time position.

What You'll Do

Provide individualized, developmentally appropriate occupational therapy services to children, helping them build skills for greater participation and independence in everyday activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing pediatric OT services appropriate to your credentials and scope of practice.
  • Using engaging, play-based interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
  • Implementing individualized treatment approaches to support each child's developmental needs and goals.
  • Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other members of the child's care team.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapists will perform evaluations, develop plans of care, and provide clinical oversight as appropriate. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants will provide services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, consistent with applicable requirements.

Qualifications

  • Current Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
  • Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Ability to provide quality care while managing a consistent caseload.

  • Part-time position.
  • Primarily afternoon hours.
  • Flexible weekly scheduling based on your availability and clinic needs.
  • Opportunity for consistent weekly hours.
  • We welcome candidates seeking anywhere from 5 to 20 hours per week. Whether you're looking for just a few hours or a more substantial part-time schedule, both are equally valued.

Tell us what your availability looks like, and we'll work with you to explore a schedule that fits.
