Catering Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Drive revenue through the sale of catering services for events, meetings and special occasions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve catering revenue targets

2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers

4. Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and negotiate contracts for catering services

5. Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure successful event execution

6. Conduct site visits and tastings for potential clients

7. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

8. Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase catering services

9. Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales reports

10. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns

11. Ensure all room set ups are executed to clients’ specifications

12. Secure guaranteed counts for the event, prepare the billing for the event and facilitate the payment

13. Attend CVB and Chamber events to maintain a presence in the community.

14. Be involved with local civic organizations to maintain a presence in the community.

15. Have a knowledge and understanding of events going on in the area and at competitor hotels.

Requirements for this position include a minimum of 3 years of convention services management and catering experience. This position requires flexibility in hours as individual is required to be onsite during events to handle any last minute needs of the client. For consideration, please forward your resume.
