PT | Physical Therapist (PRN)

Our therapy department works alongside the nursing floor to keep both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents moving safely. On PRN shifts, you step into the gym to carry out scheduled therapy treatments and coordinate directly with our occupational therapists. Therapy notes and billing are logged in the system as soon as each visit wraps up to keep shift handoffs smooth.

Responsibilities

• Complete physical therapy evaluations and update resident mobility goals in the electronic charting system.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy treatments focused on improving resident gait and balance.
• Coordinate with floor nurses and occupational therapists to structure daily resident treatment schedules.
• Complete clinical therapy documentation and billing entries promptly after each treatment session.
• Instruct residents and family members on safe transfer techniques and mobility precautions before discharge.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

• Pay Rate: Starting a $52-62/hr, scaling upward with experience
• Schedule: PRN (Flexible, on-demand shift availability)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current, active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Texas
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
• Must pass a standard criminal background check
• Must pass a drug screening
• Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
