About this role
The Titus School is a specialized, year-round educational program serving children and young adults with special needs, ages 5 and up. Our multidisciplinary school environment brings together Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, and specialized instruction to provide individualized support and meaningful opportunities for student growth.
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and collaborative Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for an OT who enjoys working closely with students, teachers, families, and related-service professionals and who wants to see the impact of their work within the student's everyday school environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy services based on students' individualized needs and educational goals.
- Conduct standardized and informal assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and areas of functional concern.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and monitor student progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Analyze students' activities, routines, and environments to identify barriers to participation and recommend meaningful modifications and supports.
- Promote students' independence, functional skills, participation, and access to learning throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to integrate therapeutic strategies into students' daily routines and educational programming.
- Provide teachers and staff with practical strategies, adaptations, and recommendations that support student success across classroom and school environments.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, teachers, administrators, and related-service providers.
- Participate as an active member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, contributing clinical expertise to student planning and problem-solving.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with professional and school requirements.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and current occupational therapy approaches to support student outcomes.
Why Join The Titus School?
At The Titus School, we believe occupational therapy is most effective when it is integrated into a student's educational experience. Our OTs have the opportunity to work alongside educators and other clinicians to address not only individual therapeutic goals, but also the real-world skills students need to participate, communicate, learn, and become more independent.
You will be joining a team that values collaboration, creativity, individualized programming, and professional expertise. We are committed to creating an environment where clinicians can make meaningful contributions to student development while working as part of a supportive and interdisciplinary team.
