Associate Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in defending clients facing criminal charges by providing expert legal counsel, developing strategic defense plans, and advocating effectively in court.

Responsibilities:

· Comfortable with handling a high volume of case-load, legal writing and daily court appearances, including out of county appearances

· Investigate the circumstances of cases, including legal research, reviewing discovery and interviewing witnesses

· Prepare legal motions as needed to protect our clients’ rights

· Negotiate with prosecutors to get the charge(s) against our client dismissed or reduced

· Represent our clients in court for all pre-trial hearing, preliminary hearings as well as at trial

· Work independently, prioritizing and multi-tasking as necessary, in a fast-paced environment

· Providing top-quality customer service with heavy client interaction

· Thriving in stressful situations

· Deescalate stressful situations and maintain strong client relationships

· Able to timely meet deadlines

Requirements:

· Active California bar admission

· A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Criminal Defense attorney (preferred)

· Must be a team player and be able to practice in a structured environment

· Since there will be extensive new and current client contact, the successful candidate must possess an outstanding attorney-client relation skill.

· Willing to travel

Pay: $88,583.02 - $150,000.00 per year
