Infection Prevention Manager - RN

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse and Infection Preventionist with a passion for developing others. Our Infection Prevention Coordinator will manage a system wide infection control & prevention program that will successfully identify and prevent or reduce causes and/or sources of infection in compliance with Infection Prevention & Control protocols.

How will you spend your time?

• 24 hours/ week spent doing IP work
• 16 hours/ week spent as a licensed nurse on the floor
• Staff Development
• Participate in orientation for all personnel.
• Identify, develop & conduct education/ Inservice programs in response to staff needs according to current accepted patient care and center practices according to identified priorities.
• Supervise, mentor & monitor new team members throughout their orientation period.
• Perform new hire & annual competency testing and evaluations on clinical staff.
• Maintain education records and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Actively participate in quality assurance
• Infection Prevention:
• Oversee Employee Health Program
• Manage and Maintain our Infection Control Program
• Oversee Covid Testing & Reporting
• Assist with the collection, analysis and reporting of infection prevention data.

Wage Information:

• RN IP: $44.60/hour - $51.13/hour based on experience as an RN & LPN
• Floor RN: $42.73/hour - $48.73/hour based on experience as an RN & LPN
• IP Wage includes $0.53/hour MI Wage Add On (approved until 09.30.27)
• Floor RN Wage includes $2.13/hour MI Wage Add On (approved until 09.30.27)

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan
• Have an Infection Preventionist Certificate, or willing to obtain one (we provide the certification)
• Experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• CPR Certification
• Must have the flexibility to support staff on multiple shifts
• Must be able to work as a late night manager and on a weekend manager rotation
