**Position Overview:**

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents to help them achieve long\-term health benefits and improve their overall mobility and quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• **Evaluate residents' conditions** and develop individualized physical rehabilitation plans.
• Help residents **improve mobility** and functional independence.
• **Relieve pain** using exercises, hands\-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices.
• **Assist residents** in using physical therapy equipment effectively.
• Guide residents through therapy tasks, monitoring their **performance** and progress.
• **Inform residents** about what they should expect at different stages of their recovery.
• **Supervise physical therapy assistants** when required.
• Maintain a **safe and clean working environment**.
• **Adhere to infection\-control policies** and protocols.
• Contribute to **interdisciplinary team efforts** to ensure comprehensive resident care.

**Qualifications:**

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long\-term care settings preferred.
