Position Summary
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for executing product and channel strategies that drive profitable growth across assigned product categories and markets. This role leads market assessment, customer discovery, portfolio planning, product lifecycle management, strategic partner engagement, and new product development activities to ensure products deliver meaningful customer value and achieve business objectives.
Working cross-functionally across the organization and externally with clinicians, OEM customers, and strategic partners, the Senior Product Manager translates customer, clinical, competitive, and market insights into product roadmaps, business cases, and commercialization strategies that support long-term growth and innovation.
This role also serves as the primary business owner for designated OEM relationships and strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment between partner objectives, customer needs, and company growth priorities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Portfolio and Product Strategy:
Develop and execute product strategies for the Brewer product portfolio and associated markets, including portfolio planning, lifecycle management, roadmap development, platform strategy, new product opportunities, product enhancements, and rationalization decisions. Ensure product investments align with company growth objectives, customer needs, and long-term business strategy.
- Voice of Customer and Market Intelligence:
Lead customer discovery initiatives and conduct market research, segmentation, competitive analysis, and industry trend evaluations. Translate customer, clinician, distributor, and stakeholder insights into actionable product requirements and strategic recommendations.
- Product Roadmap Ownership:
Own and maintain product roadmaps, prioritizing opportunities based on customer value, strategic alignment, technical feasibility, regulatory considerations, and financial return.
- Product Requirements and Business Case Development:
Develop market requirements, business cases, product requirements, value propositions, positioning recommendations, pricing assumptions, and financial justifications for product investments.
- New Product Development Leadership:
Serve as the commercial lead within cross-functional product development teams, ensuring customer and market requirements are represented throughout the development process.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
Monitor product performance and recommend product enhancements, portfolio expansion, cost optimization, rationalization, and end-of-life strategies.
- Strategic OEM and Partner Management:
Serve as the primary business owner for assigned OEM accounts, strategic partners, and key external stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships, identify growth opportunities, align business objectives, and represent partner requirements within the organization.
- Competitive Intelligence and Market Monitoring:
Maintain current knowledge of competitors, market dynamics, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and customer requirements to support strategic decision-making.
- Pricing and Value Strategy:
Develop pricing recommendations and value-based pricing strategies that support profitability, competitiveness, and customer value.
- Commercialization Planning and Support:
Partner with Sales and Marketing to support launch planning, product positioning, sales enablement, training content, and customer communications while supporting rather than leading commercial execution.
- Strategic Planning and Portfolio Reviews:
Contribute to strategic planning through market assessments, portfolio reviews, growth opportunity identification, and leadership recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
Influence and align stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Experience, Sales, and Marketing.
- Market Engagement:
Participate in customer visits, advisory boards, conferences, trade shows, distributor meetings, and partner reviews to gather insights and support product strategy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, engineering, product management, or related field required. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of product management, marketing, product development, business development, or related experience required.
- Experience in the medical or dental device industry required.
- Strong product management background, including product strategy, roadmap ownership, lifecycle management, NPI support, positioning, pricing, and competitive analysis.
- Ability to translate market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into actionable product and business strategies.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, manage priorities, and drive initiatives from concept through execution.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, business judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using business reporting, forecasting, CRM, ERP, or analytics tools preferred.

Physical / Mental Demands:
- Lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, transcribe information, and perform extensive reading.

Working Environment:
- Office / Manufacturing Floor. Travel to customer meetings, distributor meetings, trade shows, field sales activities, and other business or market-facing events may be required, generally estimated at 20–25% depending on business needs.
