Senior Accountant

A leading real estate development and investment organization is adding a Senior Accountant to its growing corporate accounting team in Charlotte, NC. With a large portfolio of commercial and residential development projects across the Southeast, this is an opportunity to join a sophisticated organization where accounting plays a key role in the growth of the business.

We're open to candidates coming from public accounting or directly from the real estate/construction industry .

What You'll Do

Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities for multiple entities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements Analyze financial results, variances and balance sheet activity Support accounting for real estate development projects, investments and joint ventures Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis Support annual audits and tax-related requests Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Assist with special projects related to new developments, acquisitions and business growth What We're Looking For 3–6+ years of accounting experience Public accounting experience or strong real estate/construction industry experience Experience in real estate, construction, investment or another project-based environment is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting Ability to manage multiple entities and competing priorities CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus Why Consider This Opportunity?
