About the Role

We are looking for a General Accountant to own and support the day-to-day accounting operations of our U.S. business in Irvine, California. This is a hands-on role central to a timely, accurate month-end close—spanning journal entries and accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, manufacturing cost accounting, and financial reporting support.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in an ERP system. Fluent communication in English and Mandarin is a requirement, as you will regularly coordinate with our finance team in China.

Key Responsibilities

● Own the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, to deliver accurate, on-time results.

● Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment and collection.

● Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and clearing variances.

● Support manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory data entry, COGS tracking, and variance documentation.

● Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and ensure transactions are posted correctly and on time.

● Prepare supporting schedules for monthly financial reports and management review.

● Partner with U.S. operations, warehouse, and procurement teams to resolve invoice, inventory, and payment issues.

● Support audit preparation, document requests, and internal control compliance.

● Assist with tax filings, payroll coordination, and other accounting administrative tasks as needed.

● Continuously improve accounting workflows, ERP data accuracy, and documentation standards.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company.

● Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.

● Hands-on experience with an ERP system; experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or QuickBooks is a plus.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, pivot tables, and formulas.

● Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

● Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

● Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required, especially for day-to-day communication with our China finance team.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, or manufacturing operations.

● Experience supporting external audits or working with CPA firms.

● Familiarity with intercompany transactions and cross-border documentation.

● Interest in growing into a senior accountant or finance analyst role.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
