Purpose

Directs and maintains the information systems/technology department. Responsible for efficient computer operations, testing, and maintenance of disaster recover plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in publication of IT policies and procedures so that personnel may understand and follow correct procedures in their daily work.
  • Work with staff to help fix employee issues when pertaining to IT department, such as computers, scanners, printers, logins, Etc.
  • Work with members and staff to handle member needs/complaints when pertaining to IT department.
  • Responsible for the planning and implementing of computer training programs to personnel.
  • Assists with Marketing Department in maintaining credit union web site.
  • See that “Goodnight” is scheduled daily and check the reporting text message or email for its successful completion.
  • Manages the credit union’s network (LAN) and/or (WAN).
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly uploads to 3rd part venders.
  • Work with IT security vendor(s) to ensure adequate protection from hacking/penetration and subsequent release of data.
  • Review and implement patches and updates from Symitar as well as other 3rd party vendors.
  • Work with vendor(s) for programming and equipment needs to accomplish upgrades to systems and products for staff/members.
  • Recommends upgrades of hardware and software, or modifications to procedures to improve efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on software & hardware.
  • Manages routine backup procedures.
  • Documents system failures and corrective measures taken.
  • Provide set up and maintenance of all computer operations and necessary peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure that software and technical support is provided to all credit union branches.
  • Maintain current knowledge of computer technology. Complete educational and training programs in accordance with supervisor directions.
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed in order to satisfy membership needs and discharge the business requirements of the credit union.
  • Responsible for overseeing the task and duties of the IT assistant.

Pay: $56,000. 00 - $67,600. 00 per year
