Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

TechTrend is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications for data integration and visualization in a secure, cloud-hosted environment. This role works within an Agile team and contributes independently to feature development with minimal guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript, and Azure PaaS services.
• Implement application features and integrations following established design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
• Support integration with GOTS, COTS, and custom-built components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and senior engineers to implement functional and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects.
• Contribute to technical documentation, user support materials, and process improvements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–5 years of software development experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, SQL, JavaScript, and Microsoft Azure.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; ability to mentor junior engineers.
• PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with Dynamics 365 or enterprise application platforms.

• Experience supporting regulated or government systems.
• Familiarity with BI tools, dashboards, or data visualization concepts.
• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or DevOps practices.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:

• Hybrid at Ft Eustis, VA (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
