Technatomy is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Business Analyst (DSCSA) to define requirements for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pharmacy traceability project. You translate pharmacy supply chain needs and Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements into receiving, verification, exception, and disposition workflows.
Working with pharmacy stakeholders and technical teams, you focus on product traceability and operational processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to document pharmacy receiving, package verification, traceability, exception handling, and disposition requirements, including operational constraints.
- Translate operational needs into user stories, process flows, business rules, and measurable acceptance criteria across SAP traceability, Dynamics 365 SCM receiving, and supporting integrations. Distinguish business requirements from platform design decisions owned by the architects.
- Coordinate pharmacy subject matter input and resolve questions about site practices, approvals, and operational exceptions.
- Support product stakeholders in prioritizing the backlog and maintain traceability from approved requirements through user stories, test results, and acceptance decisions.
- Define business outcomes for missing supplier evidence, mismatched identifiers, suspect product, recalls, returns, expiry, and transfers, including approval and escalation responsibilities.
- Support demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and pilot feedback; clarify requirement-related defects and verify delivered workflows against approved acceptance criteria.
- Work with training and reporting teams to ensure procedures and user-facing information accurately describe receipt history and physical stock checks.
- Maintain a business glossary and decision rules linking product, package, location, receipt, and disposition information so interfaces, reports, and training use consistent definitions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis for pharmacy supply chain, pharmaceutical distribution, or product traceability.
- Experience performing business analysis for pharmacy supply chain, pharmaceutical distribution, or drug traceability processes.
- Working knowledge of DSCSA concepts, serialized product identification, and supplier transaction evidence.
- Ability to translate operational rules into clear requirements, workflow models, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience facilitating discussions with business users and resolving differences between local practices and standard processes.
- Experience supporting backlog refinement, user acceptance testing, and documentation of business decisions.
- Ability to analyze exception scenarios, identify missing business rules or data, and validate proposed resolutions with pharmacy subject matter experts.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
- Experience with pharmacy receiving or Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) operations.
- Familiarity with SAP ATTP, Dynamics 365 SCM receiving workflows, EPCIS event data, GS1 identifiers, or verification services.
- Experience supporting pharmacy recalls, investigations, or traceability reporting.
- Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal agency applications or projects.
