Data Software Engineer

Job Description

Techelligence is seeking a skilled Data Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data platforms.

The ideal candidate has experience with data engineering, cloud technologies, ETL/ELT pipelines, database systems, and modern data platforms. This role involves working with technical teams to transform complex data into reliable, accessible, and valuable business information.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data systems.
• Develop data transformation workflows and integration solutions.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Build and maintain data warehouse and lakehouse solutions.
• Improve data quality, reliability, and processing performance.
• Integrate data from multiple applications and databases.
• Collaborate with analytics and software engineering teams.
• Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation and follow data engineering best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience with data engineering or software development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Understanding of data warehousing and database concepts.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data transformation.
• Knowledge of Git and software development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of Unity Catalog and Databricks SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or cloud data warehouses.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality tools.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and CI/CD practices.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
