Sr. Analytics Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. This role is critical in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, report development, and analytics, with a passion for solving complex business problems through data.

Equally important is the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels — from frontline analysts to senior executives — translating complex data concepts into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment and action.

Our team works across modern BI platforms and is actively expanding into AI-assisted report development — using agentic AI tools to generate analytical reports from semantic data views — making adaptability and curiosity about emerging technologies equally as important as core BI skills.

Essential Duties

Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions including semantic models, dashboards, and analytical reports across platforms. Develop analytical reports in HTML using agentic AI tools (including Claude) to surface insights from semantic data views. Partner with business and technical stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, build consensus, and translate business needs into analytical solutions.

Facilitate working sessions and presentations that drive alignment across business and IT teams. Optimize and maintain existing BI systems and processes. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.

Perform advanced data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to best practices in BI development. Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless data integration.

Stay current with BI tools, technologies, and industry trends, including agentic AI capabilities. Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong proficiency in semantic modeling and report development using modern BI platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
• Comfort working with or learning agentic AI tools for report generation and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Experience with one or more enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS for report layout and presentation.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience in mentoring or leading BI teams.
