Travel RN – Labor & Delivery - Bakersfield, CA - $80/hr

Contract Dates: December 7, 2026 – March 7, 2027

Schedule: Day shift, 36 or 48 hours per week

Special Note: Floating to another nearby location may be required.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support maternal and newborn care. This opportunity is suited to an RN who is confident in labor assessment, fetal monitoring, and collaborating with the obstetric care team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor.
• Perform nursing assessments and document findings.
• Support labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
• Recognize complications and escalate concerns promptly.
• Educate and support patients and families.
• Collaborate with obstetric providers and the clinical team.

Requirements

• Active RN license valid for California practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS, fetal heart monitoring, and NRP certifications.
• EPIC experience highly preferred.
• Availability to float to the designated nearby location when needed.
• Start date is firm due to a backfill requirement.
