We are looking for a

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with 4-8+ years

of experience to help build the next generation of financial products.

We’re partnering with a

$100M+ neobank startup with real traction

that is building the future of financial services. You'll be one of the first engineering hires in SF, owning features end-to-end across greenfield products - from a "Merchant OS" (payroll, point of sale, inventory tools) to an AI-powered WhatsApp financial assistant for consumers.

What you'll be building

You'll work across core banking, merchant tools, and consumer-facing products, taking ownership of features from initial architecture to deployment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own features end-to-end:

Build and ship full-stack functionality, from intuitive user interfaces to backend services and production deployment.

• Build financial infrastructure:

Architect and scale services supporting lending, payments, pay-ins/payouts, and ledger systems handling high transaction volumes.

• Create a Merchant OS:

Develop greenfield SMB tools, including payroll, point of sale, inventory tracking, and integrated banking capabilities.

• Shape AI-first engineering:

Help establish modern agentic software development practices, leveraging AI tools to accelerate the development lifecycle.

• Drive product decisions:

Collaborate directly with product, design, and a small engineering team to turn ideas into production-ready products quickly.

Tech stack

TypeScript, React, Node. js, full-stack JavaScript frameworks, SQL/databases, and message queuing systems.

The team embraces modern AI-assisted development practices and is continuously evolving how software gets built.

What we're looking for

Must-have:

• 4–8 years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.
• Strong backend-leaning full-stack experience, with hands-on development across frontend and backend systems.
• Experience building high-performance web applications, understanding both browser and server-side architecture.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
• Ability and willingness to work

5 days per week from the San Francisco office

.

Nice to have:

• FinTech experience, particularly payments, payouts, ledgers, or cross-border transactions.
• Experience working with databases and message queuing systems.
• Experience in Big Tech followed by a startup transition, or working within a high-performing Big Tech engineering team.
• CS degree from a US university, particularly a top-30 CS program.
