Role Description
The Physical Therapist will provide evidence-based, hands-on care to patients in an on-site clinical setting located in Staten Island, NY. This full-time role includes evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional outcomes.
Day-to-day responsibilities involve administering therapeutic exercises and modalities, educating patients and families on home programs and injury prevention, and documenting clinical findings and progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
The Physical Therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, participate in case discussions, and contribute to a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge and skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care and Home Care to support continuity of treatment beyond the clinic.
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Medicine relevant to musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
- Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT or equivalent) and current or eligible New York State physical therapy license.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and organizational skills, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care.
- Previous experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or neurologic physical therapy settings is preferred but not required.
