Software Systems Engineer

Job Description

Systems Atlanta is seeking a skilled Software Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain software systems that support mission-critical information display and distribution environments.

The ideal candidate has experience with software engineering, system integration, database technologies, and network-based applications. This role involves developing reliable software solutions that process information from multiple sources and deliver accurate, real-time data to operational users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software system components.
• Build and support integrated information display applications.
• Develop software interfaces for data exchange between multiple systems.
• Integrate databases, network services, and external applications.
• Troubleshoot software and system integration issues.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and security.
• Conduct software testing and validation.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams.
• Prepare system architecture and technical documentation.
• Support software deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience in software engineering or systems development.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, C++, or comparable programming languages.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
• Understanding of APIs, network communications, and system integration.
• Familiarity with Windows or Linux environments.
• Experience with software testing and debugging.
• Knowledge of version control and development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real-time information systems.
• Knowledge of distributed software architecture.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and data communication.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources.
• Understanding of aviation, airport operations, or command-and-control systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and system administration practices.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
