**Role overview**

-----------------

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a **Senior / Principal Product Designer (Design Systems \& Hybrid Architecture)** for a part\-time remote position in the USA. This is a short\-term engagement of approximately 8–12 weeks, with an expected commitment of 15–20 hours per week, subject to the client’s Hybrid delivery needs.

The role will focus on establishing and applying the Design Language System (DLS) foundations needed for priority Hybrid experiences, working closely with Experience Design and Engineering to connect reusable design patterns and components with production implementation.

Rather than building a traditional design system or style guide from scratch, you will help evolve the existing DLS through real Hybrid product work.

You will assess and prioritize existing components and patterns, design and document reusable solutions, establish responsive, cross\-platform, and accessibility standards, and help create a practical design\-to\-development workflow that can continue to scale after the engagement.

**Requirements**

----------------

• Senior or Principal\-level experience in product design.
• Deep experience building and scaling design systems connected to production component libraries.
• Strong experience working directly with front\-end engineers and understanding how design components are implemented in code.
• Experience designing responsive and cross\-platform experiences.
• Experience creating reusable interaction patterns, in addition to visual components.
• Experience working within an existing design system and team rather than building everything from scratch.
• Strong understanding of accessibility and its application to product experiences and design systems.
• Ability to operate independently at a senior or principal level.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Design, Product, and Engineering.

• Accessibility guidance integrated into components and patterns.
• Design\-to\-development workflow and supporting documentation.
• Lightweight governance and contribution guidelines.
• Recommendations and priorities for continued DLS development.

**Responsibilities**

• Review existing Design Language System work, components, patterns, and relevant product experiences.
• Partner with Design and Engineering to understand the Hybrid roadmap and technical approach.
• Assess and prioritize components and experience patterns required for near\-term Hybrid delivery.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, accessibility concerns, and opportunities for reuse.
• Evolve the DLS architecture needed to support Hybrid experiences.
• Design and document reusable components and interaction patterns.
• Define responsive and cross\-platform behaviors and standards.
• Establish accessibility and experience standards within components and patterns.
• Rationalize existing patterns where practical rather than introducing unnecessary variants.
• Partner directly with Engineering as components and patterns move into production.
• Align design components with their coded counterparts and resolve design\-system issues identified during implementation.
• Establish a practical design\-to\-development workflow that supports ongoing Hybrid delivery.
• Apply the emerging DLS to priority Hybrid product work.
• Use real\-world implementation to validate and refine components, patterns, and standards.
• Document design decisions and reusable solutions as the system evolves.
• Transfer knowledge and working practices to internal Design and Engineering teams throughout the engagement.
