About this role
Success On The Spectrum (“SOS”) provides early intervention Applied Behavior Analysis (“ABA”) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are looking for a very organized, high-energy, efficient multi-tasker to join our team as a full-time Operations Manager. You will be responsible for keeping everything running smoothly in the center.
SOS-Shelton Vision Statement
Our vision is to create a community and world where individuals with autism are empowered to lead fulfilling, independent lives by providing compassionate, evidence-based ABA therapy. We aspire to be a trusted partner in each family’s journey, fostering an inclusive environment that respects individuality, promotes personal growth, and unlocks the potential of every kiddo we serve.
Through compassion, collaboration, and dedication, we aim to transform lives, navigating autism one child at a time.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Flexibility to take on additional tasks/responsibilities as needed
- Work in the center (at the front desk), Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:15pm. This time includes a daily 60-minute lunch break taken at your discretion. Note: client hours are 8:00am-4:00pm.
- Also note: you will be provided with a company laptop and may need to spend 30-60 minutes per day working remotely, depending on how efficient you are with adjusting schedules in the morning; hopefully this becomes unnecessary with some experience.
- Attend monthly companywide meeting, first Wednesday of every month from 4:15-5:15pm
- Create staff/client schedules for each day; revise appointments promptly as changes occur; maintain scheduling efficiency
- Promptly answer the phone and respond to emails/voicemails with staff & existing or prospective clients
- Understand our service offering and communicate our value proposition; lead tours of the center for interested families and lead interviews for ABA therapist (BT/RBT) candidates
- Manage client intake procedures: send/review Admissions Forms, follow-up with families on outstanding documentation needed, and schedule initial assessments
- Verify insurance benefits & eligibility; send insurance pre-authorization requests, as needed
- Serve as our HR Manager: onboard new staff members; write and deliver disciplinary reports, as needed; review and process payroll
- Plan staff team-building events, parent appreciation/community events, and client field trips
- Foster team camaraderie and ensure client/parent satisfaction
- Order and manage inventory/office supplies
- Handle office upkeep with building maintenance and independent handymen
- Work collaboratively with the CEO, Clinical Director, and behavior analysts (BCBAs)
- Prepare operational reports as requested
- Be generally helpful in other ways
Please note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as needed; flexibility, efficient time management, and a positive attitude are key to success in this role.
You are a core team member and manager: about forty (40) BTs/RBTs report to you. This position requires you to independently handle many varied tasks in an extremely busy office every day while being the face of the center and emanating a positive attitude to everyone who interacts with SOS (families, clients, and staff). It is critical for you to operate with a sense of urgency and complete tasks quickly.
At any given time you may be greeting anxious parents and their children, tending to the phone/emails, changing schedules on the fly, and ensuring all this is done with accuracy and a smile.
