Job description

About this role

About Stride Logistics

Stride is a Southern California 3PL for growing consumer brands that sell across DTC, Amazon, wholesale and retail. E-commerce fulfillment is the core of our operation, shipping hundreds of orders a day. Our services include:

  • DTC / e-commerce order fulfillment
  • Amazon FBA prep
  • B2B wholesale and retail distribution
  • Kitting and subscription programs
  • Retail compliance builds and displays
  • Container unloading and transloading
  • Climate-controlled storage

Why this role

This isn’t a role where you inherit a finished operation and keep it running. You’ll report directly to the CEO, have real authority over how the floor runs, and build the team and systems for our next stage of growth. We’re a founder-led, fast-growing company, which means your decisions get made quickly and your impact shows up in weeks, not years.

As we scale, this role grows with us, including developing the leads already on the team and building out leadership under you.

What you’ll own

  • Day-to-day warehouse operations: receiving, putaway, pick/pack, outbound, returns, kitting and special projects
  • Labor planning: staffing each day based on order volume and forecasts, including managing temp labor
  • Building the team structure: assigning roles, developing leads and supervisors, holding people accountable
  • Floor standards: dock and staging layout, housekeeping, safety, equipment and supplies
  • Inventory accuracy and cycle counts in our WMS (Warehance)
  • Ensure WMS data and setup match the floor (SKU data, shipping rules, locations), and build quality checks to keep them accurate
  • Accurate, same-day capture of all billable work (pallets, labor hours, special handling)
  • Daily coordination with account managers on client priorities, and ops input in client calls when needed
  • Writing and enforcing SOPs

What success looks like in your first 90 days

  • A clear team structure, with leads who own their areas
  • Daily labor and staging plans set ahead of each day
  • Every billable task captured accurately, the same day
  • Measurable improvement in throughput, order accuracy and on-time shipping

Must-haves

  • 5+ years in warehouse operations, with 2+ years managing a 3PL or multi-client floor of 20+ people
  • Experience running high-volume e-commerce/DTC fulfillment (each-pick, pick-pack-ship, small parcel) at hundreds of orders per day, alongside B2B and project work like kitting and retail builds
  • You’ve built systems: SOPs, labor plans, KPIs
  • Comfortable in a WMS and Excel/Google Sheets, and quick to learn new tools
  • Experience managing temp labor
  • Clear communicator in English, verbally and in writing

Nice to have

  • Amazon FBA prep and retail compliance experience
  • Experience setting up or improving a WMS, not just using one
  • Parcel carrier experience (UPS, FedEx, USPS) including rate shopping and carrier pickups
  • Food or FDA-regulated product handling
  • Uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for SOPs, reporting or analysis
  • Forklift certified
  • Spanish or Mandarin

This role is for you if you take ownership: you find the problem, fix it, and build the process so it doesn’t come back, without waiting to be told. You’d rather build teams and systems than maintain what’s already there.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday; occasional extended hours during peak volume. Health, dental and vision insurance.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Vision insurance

People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply

Application Question(s):

  • Describe a warehouse or 3PL operation you led: how many people, clients and orders per day, what was broken when you started, what you changed first, and what improved (with numbers if you have them).

Experience:

  • managing e-commerce/DTC fulfillment operations: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
