Join the Team That Delivers Customer Success

Stolle Machinery is the world’s leading supplier of two-piece can and end-making machinery, serving customers across the global packaging industry. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Spares Account Manager to partner with the main Account Manager in supporting an assigned customer’s global spare parts requirements and smaller projects.

This role helps customers maintain production continuity through proactive order coordination, reliable communication, and timely resolution of issues.

In this role, you will coordinate spare parts orders and assigned smaller projects across the customer’s global operations and all relevant Stolle locations. You will maintain forecasts and delivery schedules, follow up on critical orders and material availability, and coordinate responses to customer-raised issues.

Working alongside the main Account Manager and cross-functional teams, you will keep customers informed of order status, risks, recovery actions, and next steps.

Job Requirements Summary

The Spares Account Manager partners with the main Account Manager to coordinate all spare parts requirements globally for an assigned customer and manage assigned smaller projects within an agreed scope. The role is the day-to-day coordination point for order progress, material availability, forecasts, schedules, and customer issue resolution across Stolle locations.

It combines technical understanding, customer communication, and disciplined follow-through to support reliable delivery and customer production needs.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as one of customer’s day-to-day contact for global spare parts orders and assigned smaller projects, partnering with the main Account Manager and engaging the appropriate Stolle teams to address commercial, technical, and service questions within the assigned scope.
  • Drive engagement with a “Go and See’ philosophy – via site visits, video calls, and proactive outreach.
  • Develop multi-level relationships with assigned account(s) (Procurement, Engineering, Production, Executives)
  • Act as the customer's advocate within Stolle by identifying and escalating systemic issues.

Commercial & Strategic Growth and Execution

  • Maintain and update spare parts and assigned smaller-project forecasts with the customer, main Account Manager, Global Parts, and relevant Stolle locations. Reconcile expected demand with open quotations, orders, material availability, and delivery schedules; communicate changes, risks, and required actions to support account planning.
  • Collaborate with Technical Solutions and Marketing to customize campaigns and offers for specific accounts.
  • Apply approved spare parts pricing and customer terms when coordinating quotations and orders. Monitor pricing discrepancies and margin concerns within the assigned scope, and route requests for exceptions, rebates, or changes to supply agreements to the main Account Manager and authorized approvers. Recommend changes to pricing for parts. Work through quotes for any new parts with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate spare parts orders and assigned smaller projects from order acceptance through delivery, confirming scope, part identification, quantities, customer requirements, and agreed schedules with the responsible teams. Track order milestones and material availability across all supplying Stolle locations, proactively expedite critical orders, and obtain confirmed status and recovery actions when commitments are at risk. Coordinate planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and logistics to resolve constraints and keep the customer and main Account Manager informed of delivery changes and shipment status.

Industry & Technical Insight

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Stolle’s offerings and how it supports customer production.
  • Stay informed on industry trends in metal packaging, sustainability, line modernization, and process automation.
  • Leverage market knowledge to proactively propose solutions and anticipate customer needs.

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  • Maintain a detailed, living customer profile including decision-makers, plant contacts, communication channels, and operating nuances.
  • Ensure customer data, contact lists, equipment databases are accurate.
  • Coordinate resolution of customer-raised issues relating to spare parts and assigned smaller projects with Engineering, PMO, Global Parts, Technical Solutions, Services, quality, and the supplying Stolle locations. Maintain an issue log with responsible owners, agreed actions, target dates, and customer updates; escalate overdue or critical issues and confirm resolution with the customer and main Account Manager.
  • Work with the customer and technical teams to identify critical spares, recurring consumption, planned maintenance requirements, and obsolete or superseded parts requiring review. Coordinate quotation follow-up, order changes, and returns or replacement requests with the responsible teams. Provide regular visibility to the business on backlog, critical orders, overdue actions, forecast changes, and recurring delivery or quality issues, and recommend practical process improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field and industry experience (required).
  • 5-9 years of relevant experience in industrial spare parts, aftermarket customer support, order management, account coordination, or smaller-project coordination, including cross-functional follow-up on delivery schedules and material availability.
  • Experience working with customers in metal packaging, beverage/food production, or high-speed manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of can-making machinery or similar systems (presses, CNCs, line automation) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with customers across international markets and complex supply chains.
  • Strong relationship management skills with a consultative and collaborative style.
  • Clear and persuasive communicator—able to translate technical information and drive cross-functional solutions.
  • Highly organized, data-driven, and proactive, with strong pipeline management and customer follow-up skills.
  • Solid understanding of pricing, margin, and contractual terms in an industrial B2B setting.
