About the Role

Our client is a Tier One and Tier Two automotive supplier that specializes in internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrain products. They need a New Business Development Representative to manage a defined group of customer accounts while finding and winning new customers, accounts, and programs. The goal is to grow the customer base and turn opportunities into long-term business.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and grow relationships with your assigned customers
• Find and pursue new customers, accounts, and business opportunities
• Build and carry out new business and market entry strategies
• Lead customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations
• Build and manage a sales pipeline, with regular activity reporting
• Represent the company at customer visits, industry events, and trade shows
• Work with internal teams to make sure customer needs are met

What You Bring

Required

• Experience selling to the Tier 1 / Tier 2 / OEM automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of ICE powertrain products, such as cylinder liners, piston rings, castings, forgings, and braking components
• A track record of closing deals that you can describe with examples
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience with RFQs, customer quotations, sourcing, and program awards
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40%)
• 6+ years of relevant experience
