About this role

About our client Our client is an established manufacturer of precision sensing and measurement technology based in Traverse City, Michigan. Its products serve research, industrial, and government customers worldwide, delivering reliable performance in demanding environments. The company’s R&D team is small, experienced, and highly technical.

Engineers take ownership across the development process, from circuit design and firmware development to board bring-up and field deployment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, broad technical responsibility, and seeing their work become a finished product.

Role overview Our client is adding an Embedded Systems Engineer to work alongside a senior firmware and hardware engineer in developing next-generation sensing platforms. The role spans the full embedded stack, including bare-metal firmware, analog and digital hardware design, PCB bring-up, and RF and sensor interfaces.

You will contribute to products that support environmental monitoring and scientific measurement, with meaningful involvement throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
